Robin Lyons, Fiction Author

Robin Lyons worked in public education for twenty-nine years – first as a school bus driver, then transportation supervisor, and lastly payroll accountant.

Before retirement, she ran for and was elected to the school board in her hometown. Small town politics was enlightening. Six years into her school board position a beloved principal was gunned down in his office. The loss felt by the school district and community was tremendous.

Upon retirement, Robin focused on her passion – writing fiction. She also maintains her research blog where she writes about true crime cases similar to what you’d see on investigative news shows. Her focus is on crimes occurring at or connected to schools.

Robin writes mystery/thriller novels and an occasional poem. Twenty-nine years as an employee and six years as a board member provided plenty of inspiration for her stories.

In response to her sadness over the loss of her colleague and friend in the school shooting, she created the School Marshal series. Unknown Threat is her debut novel.
