Robin Lyons, Author

Hello! I’m Robin Lyons and I write mystery/thriller stories based on disturbing reality with a USAF Vet and plenty of drama.

The concept for my School Marshal series came about after a beloved school principal and friend in my hometown was gunned down in his office by an employee. At the time, I was an elected school board member for the school district where the murder took place.

The loss felt by the school district and our community was tremendous. The tragedy changed my view of school safety and life in a small town.

As I researched school crimes, I became aware there are some bad people working at schools. Don’t take my word for it, check out my Research Blog where I summarize true-crimes occurring at or connected to schools. Aren’t most of the staff at schools good people, you ask? Absolutely! I write about the 1% who shouldn’t have been hired in the first place.

Twenty-nine years working as a school employee and six years as an elected school board member provided a lot of inspiration for my stories.
